The first annual Yinz Team Turkey Bowl Classic was held at Bellevue Memorial Park on November 29, 2008.
Our friend Boxes was a valiant member of his team and had a penchant for guarding the smallest yet most vivacious member of the opposing team. He also garnered the nickname “yellow hat” as a tribute to Curious George and the “Man with the yellow hat.”

The man with the torn ACL stepped in for one play, made one touchdown, and then declared retirement while checking his iPhone on the 10 yard line.

After the epic battle, chili and Keystone were consumed at the house of Crappy. A delightful time was had by all.
A little disappointed that this post contained no explanation of why you stood on the sidelines, Jennie.

I’m disappointed with the lack of coverage of my MVP efforts, both in print and photo. =(
Seriously, it seems like every single person there had a blast and faced potential injury in some fashion. Happy that all of Yinz made it out to watch and/or play.
Ya done real good, kid, both in performance and in bringing it all together. Thank you.
But what about me? I was MVP runner-up after being the last picked. Go me!
