I’ve photographed a walk through Butler for the Rust Belt Bloggers Neighborhood Walk. Rust Belt Bloggers discuss how bloggers best communicate the opportunities available in our Rust Belt cities. Visit the Ning site to check out other Neighborhood Walk entries and the other goings-on.
I walk a lot, and so I really enjoyed doing this. I found it difficult to limit the number of photographs. Butler is very special to me. There are more in my Flickr gallery.
Again, find more from my walk in Flickr. Don’t forget to see other Rust Belt Blogger Neighborhood Walk entries including my sister Cindy’s walk of Butler.

What plugin do you use to make nice photo captions?
These are the kind of romantic, idyllic snapshots that most people imagine when they think of “small town America.” (Very “Pleasantville”-esque.) What a boon that you get to see them every day.
Hoo — that’s quite a walk.
Lovely!!
Eric – That’s just default WordPress and some styling in this free theme. Glad you like it. I’lll be sure to shoot for that when I upgrade to my own theme.
Justin – I’m a romantic, what can I say. Glad you liked my city.
Crappy – You know it! I’m so glad someone could appreciate that part of this post. This is how I maintain my sexy physique.
Thanks Jennie.
And thanks to all for commenting! This is the first for the site.
Welcome to social media. haha. I have linked you on my ubiquitous blogroll.
Beautiful.
Thanks Jonny. Your tour makes Philly look rather cultural. Who knew?
You mis-typed your link.
Go to http://jonnygoldstein.com to see the fine Philly livin.
Did you walk the whole tour? That’s a long distance to cover by foot (if you know Butler) Nice pic’s, I like the Veteran’s Day salute, good shot!
Thanks, Tim, and yes I walked the whole route. That mother was plenty suspicious of the dude lingering behind snapping shots her family.
If you have the time, I think you’d like the rest of the pics on Flickr.
[...] another perspective on Butler, check out my brother Anthony’s walk (especially because his pictures are much better than mine at showing how pretty Butler can be). [...]
These are the memory shots from my childhood. How nice it was to see! Thanks!
ah…now i get butler. nicely done.
